It is reported that the owner of the Norway Offshore Solstad on Friday announced that, due to the decline in oil prices caused by the decline in investment in the sea, Solstad will lay off 300 employees.

that, due to the decline in oil prices caused by the decline in investment in
the sea, Solstad will lay off 300 employees.
Of
the 300 employees laid off, the Nordic staff of a total of 150 people, of which
the majority of employees in Norway, Brazil staff of about 75 people, the rest
is Philippines's crew.
Solstad's
fleet operates 50 sea vessels, in addition to 1 in the construction of a new
ship. Local media reported that Solstad plans to end the end of this year, 10
ships idle.
According
to Reuters, in August 21st, Brent crude oil prices fell to $45.18 a barrel,
down to the lowest level since March 2009.
